Clulite cluson headtorch.available mvf. Around £22 ish. Rechargable.good beam. Lasts for ages.batteries replacable. Keep two on the go so always one fully charged. Has 3 levals of power which also warns you when battery starting to go down so no sudden left in the dark! Gave up using hand held torches years ago. so much better hands free for every job on farm.

I bought the Thrunite TN 42 (I think) on the other page a while back, best torch I’ve ever bought but was more expensive than £50, think it was more like £100 but I’d previously bought a thrunite catapult v5 which I had for years and is still going strong so had no hesitation in having confidence in the brand. Best thing about the 42 is it’s so simple for toggling the power settings. I used to use a light force blitz for shooting but only use this 42 for scanning now. In the sheep sheds you just hold the button for whatever brightness and as soon as you go outside you double click the power button for full cocoa for hundreds of yards of light. It’s also got a real tough lanyard so if you’re working on something or carrying something you can leave it slung over your shoulder giving off plenty of light. You do need to buy rechargeable batteries as an extra but I’d definitely recommend this torch having used one.

Cree T6 headtorch. AAA or 18650 lithium. Compact and no battery pack and wires needed at the back of head unlike some.
£4.20 or so.
Mine has become a body appendage now!
