Hard to beat Varta, but I've had good results from Hankook batteries, either type from Battery Megastore in Glos. Delivered to your door in 24 hours ... Hard to beat on price.

If you mean the 1000CCA ones, I whole heartedly concur. I've been buying them for about 5 years now, slowly moving all my vehicles over to them as the other brands die, and I've yet to have one die on me.

£83+vat incl delivery. Buy 2, save a tenner. The only issue is the centrally located terminals, can make it hard to get the cables on with some tractors.

As above.

All I will buy now is Varta, (ideally the silver version, if not the blue) and never have any major issues. Took some batteries off a tractor the other day that I've dated as 2015 and they were still holding charge perfectly well.

They have a pretty sensible warranty length which is encouraging.

Those are exactly the ones I use ..... on everything from a DB 996 to a Ford 7840 (single battery). Can't fault them for performance or price.

Needing to replace the Battery on a case 895 stockman. At the moment it has a Yuassa 655HD 125Ah .. Any recomendations or same again??

Spec wise you wont get better than that yuassa 655HD.

The 1000amp ones others are on about are 642 and spec varies by brand but most are 1000cca and 120ah.
These are not the same size as a 655, the casing is a few mm smaller and terminals are in centre of battery.
As it's a smaller casing with higher spec there is less room inside them so I find they tend not to last as long as the 665.

Sold alot of 642 batts but now favouring that 665HD. If that 665 isnt starting it well enough or lasting it's not because the battery is bad its cause the starter motor is rubbish, either worn out or a poor quality version been fitted in past.

….and thankfully you can solve that too! 😃

Nice also to see those Yuasa batteries aren’t sealed. My engineer always complains he can’t properly test modern batteries that don’t have removable cell tops.

I see one link above takes you to a 643 battery 🙈 I wouldnt fit that spec on anything! Why spend same money as most 663 for a lower spec😂

665 is a higher spec off a 663 though so that's the only one people should be buying.

Good spot. I had just Googled for it, and found it for sale on Tanya.

Opps keep getting these mixed up!

655 is the taller version of the 663.

the one i now favour over the common 643 and 663 is the 665, same size and type but more power.
