Moles are digger like hells at the moment. Is there any other way to kill them apart from traps. A see you can get poisons and smokes. Are they any good. Or should I cough up and pay the mole boys.

when putting traps down do not handle the soil, use a clean trowel ,moles smell your scent and wont go near trap, stamp all the molehills in push them down,do all of them so you can see where most active then trap accordingly.have patience it can take a while ,caught one last year in a trap that had been put in for 3weeks

Mole trapping is great fun and addictive,
When I have them set its the first job after letting the dogs out to check them.
If setting lots I would advise setting 5 at a time or 10 in an area so you know how many you are looking for, not 4 or 8.
Last autumn I got 17 moles in one field in a week.( 90 trap's though)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50-x-Mole...077015?hash=item51cf2b5ed7:g:v1UAAOSweW5U4KG7 We got these traps last summer, in a 5 acre field after silage in summer I got 17 moles from 20 traps (set in pairs as that how they work) without moving most of them. Moved one that rooted me out a few feet along and caught it and moved another that was very shallow run. I set 12 yesterday and in 6 hours had 2 more and dad set his and in the same time had 6 plus 2 more by morning. Last year they worked a treat, this year they are less productive but I will switch to some barrel traps to try confuse the little buggers!
