Best way to sheet clamp sidewalls.

Any tips on sheeting the sidewalls, new style clamp, steel uprights with 3high pannels between and a hand rail 3ft above pannel 1ft below top of steels.

Thinking of trying tyres on string 1 each side of wall with sheet draped over handrail. Put a tyre on each upright.
Will string cut sheet?
Best way to protect sheet on uprights?

Like you said, I’d put a tyre over each upright to protect the sheet and tie a tyre to the sheet by making an ear in the sheet and tie it to that. Be aware that you will lose sheet length along the edge you’ve made the ears so it can look a bit messy….. it can also make a pocket that catches grass that tips over the side.

Not so bad long as you go along every now and again to flick grass off and loosen the hanging tyres (there’s still enough friction to punch the upright tyre through) then you’ll be ok.

we don’t have a posh pit like yours so I’m probably not too helpful.

I just said, should have had flat plate with bolts for roof and handrail should have been highest point and smooth as possible

We use bits of old inner tube to cover the tops of the posts works pretty well because the curve fits over the steel nicely

Tyres on top of the steels and just drape the sheet over.tie the outside corners and grass on inside
