Any luck in court yet regarding sheep theft
Thanks for asking.
The wheels are 'grinding' very slowly .
There have been two arrests (both released 'under investigation'). The last we heard from the police, they were preparing the case for the CPS.

It seems to be taking for ever, but fortunately, since I caught the first bloke we've not lost any more sheep (although there have been two more incidents within 10 or 12 miles - slightly different m.o's though).

Still can't say too much but I promise I'll give you 'chapter and verse' when I can 'cos there's lots of stuff that's gone on and some of it may help anybody else that finds themselves in the same boat as us.

Well, they've been back to our neighbour's again:mad:

After losing 3 hoggs just under a month ago, they were back on Friday night. This time they broke into the yard and had another hogg and 3, six week old cade lambs out of a shed. They took these across the road, broke into another field and killed and skinned them there.....

We've got all sorts of folks looking out for us but the bu66ers keep on coming back

It's very difficult to watch everywhere at once. What's also bloody annoying is having to count mobs of sheep regularly 'cos without counting 'em you can't be sure there's not 2 or 3 missing from a field.

Weren't the others just before a religious festival of some sort too?
The very first ones were.
What happened to the one they caught?
The one I caught? (feckin' Plod round here couldn't catch a cold:mad:)

Despite the fact that, when they went to look, he had a sheep pen at the back of his terraced house and a deep freeze full of meat, they let him go, 'cos he said, "He didn't do it" and I caught him before they had got any sheep that night

They didn't take any meat for evidence (only photos) and when Trading Standards went back 10 days later (so it could be DNA linked to our tups), miraculously, all the meat was from Tescos:banghead:
