Best Wood Screws to use?

I am going to re-floor my Ifor Williams trailer with treated 6" x 1" timbers.. I am not going to screw them directly to the chassis crossmembers, I am going to put 4 x lengths of 2"x 2" across the full width of the trailer, and then screw down through, so the wooden crossmembers will be pinched!
What would be the best type of screws to use?

to last as long as the wood green treated decking screws / to last longer than the wood sheradised or stainless but if your really posh and wealthy brass but arnt as strong may snap / or a proper farmer 2" round nails/staples edit sorry meant to say 4" nails then bend over for more grip

Reisser , generic variations are available , but I would tek screw straight in to the chassis

Deck screws if you don’t want to bolt through.

I never use phillips or pozidrive screws anymore. Since discovering T- star heads at Toolstation never have any problems getting really good tight fix with no cam out.

I would normally drill direct into the chassis, yet I would say this must be the third or fourth floor, and the crossmembers have more holes than a colander!

even if the wood is treated, I would still give it a coat of real creosote (not this creocote stuff)

I used Tek screws In a small trailer and they were broken without the trailer ever going on the road.
Could’ve been the wood swelling.

Use phenolic ply and you won't have to replace the floor so often

I’m going to leave a 4mm gap between the boards, they are really swollen with water, so I’m hoping they will only shrink!

I had a gap too, but maybe mine were dry and swelled up the way too.

Having seen the condition of treated timber these days ,,those boards will be rotted out in no time ,,if its like the 150x22 Ive had for fencing jobs ,it cracks and warps as soon as it starts to dry out ,,much better with a 25mm marine ply

Been using them about 4 yrs, best screws ever, used thousands.

I get on really well with screwfix TurboGold range or SPAX (although pricey!) echo comments made already about using star or ‘T’ style heads - much better purchase with the bit and just don’t slip like Pozi drive heads
