Joel is great , but his systems are Labour intensive and he has a lot of free Labour ! That’s a problem for emulating his systems .
I think that the main thing to emulate is his concept of "healing", if it isn't healing the land then it may not be worth doing?

I took a lot of his messages onboard when we started up this place, basically that every little venture needs to be making money as opposed to burning future profits

I don't know how we'd be if we had just followed popular advice from other established farmers in the district, probably subsidising costs out of my own pocket, TBH

Think Philip Davies has read my mind ,
Just need him to change his address now to No10 downing Street so we can have a conservative in there for a change !
Sorry, but it reads to me as "It's all somebody else's fault" in this case, it's China and India.

Whatever the carbon footprint of the uk, the fact that we are a small country is irrelevant. Europe as a whole is reducing pollution and thinking ahead to what is possible and the disastrous consequences of global warming.

Progress has to start somewhere, why not here? What's so great about polluting and damaging just because "we've always done it this way"?

Because its futile nonsense ! What ever we do here is just kicking our selves in the ballcox while China and Co laught their coçks off at us idiots ! I'm All for tidying the place up and stop throwing junk in the sea ect and doing things more efficiently, the climates always changed it always will and taxing folk to oblivion won't change the weather .

I'd say yours is a common response among people unwilling to change. Maybe it suits you better to pretend it's not happening: "The climates always changed" and "what we do won't make any difference".

Farmers say it's the airlines, the airlines say it's the farmers, neither wants to do anything different because we're so obsessed with money and our ability to buy resources that will run out one day, that we carry on doing what suits with little or no regard for the real long term consequences.

China has had some serious food supply issues caused by extreme weather this year. And they never laugh anyway. That's more yer Bond villain or Vladimir Putin.
