I know, I was making the point that we have a 4 tonne telehandler and a 2 tonne capacity bucket and it is about right. There will always be some one who maxes out everything and thinks he's cleverer than you. Its nice to be able to reach over sweepings with wet wheels and still grab a full bucket from the heap, for example, or not have to creep about on a slope for fear of tipping over.
My 2t of wheat bucket would be approx. 90cu ft or 2.6cu m. I'll go and look at it and report back.

I have a 2.5 cubic m on a 741 manitou just about right I would say you don’t need the boom out very far before it starts getting daylight under the back wheels.

My bucket is 2.8m3 /98ft3
 
Issue 26-2 featured a harvest trailer with a Claas Scorpion in front loaded with a double section grain dozer, these two grain buckets, weigh scales, sampling equipment - all the kit needed in the barn moved in one go. Pic shows the guy who made it!
