Should we cattle men be into bio gas now gas is dear ? Isn’t bio gas the ultimate renewable ?

A lot of investment for little return without subs. If you can do it with second hand kit (e.g used milk silo for digester tank), and can use all the heat from the CHP, and use all the electric on site then it might stack up financially. There have been many fly by night companies who have set up biogas that fails after a year or so, it is important to get someone with long term operation to advise.
We have now been running 12 year, but if I had not had an engineering background then it would not have got beyond year 1.

Correct it’s not straight forward
Digester running better now but it’s still hard getting parts and support for it. Whatever you do don’t use a Belgium company who has no interest in after sales
