Can anyone help please??

Looking for an individual/company to service biogas boilers on an AD plant? Normal gas fitters not keen as not used to dealing with 51/2% Methane.
Our usual guy is great, but seems to have misplaced his phone!!

What make of boiler? We have an Ideal (known as Hoval when painted red). I service it myself as it is outside the gas regs. Main job is to draw burners out, take lid off and pressure wash the cast iron segments. Ignition problems might need a bit more work, but I think we might upgrade our ignition system to the same as we have done on the flare, which is much more reliable than the original.

Veizmann boilers with Ecoflam 250 boilers. We have 3 boilers, 2 are working fine, but having problems with 1 that keeps going off. It might be down to gas pressure? Boilers take very little maintenance themselves as Biogas all goes through a carbon filter. Just looking for some help on the burners. Thanks.

Hi there, Dynamic mechanical services cover that area of combustion alongside many other fuels.

The technicalities of servicing a boiler are no rocket science but when it comes to the fuel burning side I definitely wouldn’t recommend doing it yourself without the correct flue Gas analyser as a minimum. I know most farmers are capable of great things but best take take a bow out of you don’t have the correct tools for the job or you will potentially be running very inefficiently and/or creating harmful emissions not just to environment but to yourself.
