got a cherry one and very pleased with it

All good here, my only gripe is it isn’t quick at recalling, have to leave it cranked up for a minute in float.

Hard to damage boiler, one you have the end in the chamber I just boom out so it might scrape but not hit.

I asked them to add an angle on the brackets so I could tilit it right back.

What fuel are you using?

We had trays made for our dragons.

Local engineering firm bent to the same contour as the boiler. Just pick them out with pallet times tip in bucket of fuel and put back in. Saves having to clean ash out very often as once a week just tip what is in the tray. I would have put a picture on but a bit hot at the moment.

It's a real challenge to load a decent amount of fuel into these beasts without too much effort. We designed a rotating bucket to overcome this problem. It can also be used to remove ash although we have a separate bucket to do this. We mainly burn shredded pallets and the woody fraction left over from composting. Around 1.3MW per load. 4-5 loadings per day.
The main drawback is that 2 forklifts are required. On the upside, they don't need to be new!

what size boilers are they - 195kw? how many m3 can yo fit in to one load do you think?

so 2m3 gives you about 1.3 MW. you must be getting through the heat if you are doing it 4-5 times a day.

I am getting about the same output / m3 on a 195 kwh system. It burns very well and is consistent. do you buy in your Grade A?

Other than Chaff, OSR & Bean straw, we buy in all our fuel...BSL certified. Still have to do all the fuel chain carbon calcs for everything though which was a real chore to set up. 2 boilers on separate RHI accounts, hydraulically linked with different reporting dates,,,quite a challenge. All good now though.
