I think biostimulants probably have a place in a low disease and low input crop and/or where there is a lack of moisture. However, often they have to be used before you have a problem as a preventative (of somewhat preventative) treatment. Therefore, unless you know what the conditions are going to be in the next couple of months, you may not know if they are worth using or not.
Until the recent rains, some biostimulants (esp. those which help with drought tolerance) may have shown a benefit; but since all the rain and increase in wet-weather disease pressure, they are not likely to show much effect now.
