As part of the TRUTH project, the root structure, microbial activity & AMF will be studied for areas treated with biostimulants against untreated areas. This morning, we sprayed on our trial biostimulant, Itaka's Fixio, in four 48m wide strips across the field. The soil is maybe a little cold, but the wheat was at the correct growth stage & plenty of dampness to get it into the soil. Fixio works by making the N in manure etc more available to the plant, increasing atmospheric N fixation & improving adsorption. Last year, we saw good yield increase with it, it will be really interesting to see the differences in the soil. What sort of biostimulants have you tried & which ones saw the best results?
