I think BKT tyres are made in India, does anyone know where Ceat tyres are made? I'm looking to get some tyres for an old tractor and I am not buying Chinese.

We have got BKT sets with over 6000 hrs on,nothing to worry about ?
Would they be the 65 size range? I've only fitted the 70 series. And dont think their so good. 580/70 r38 on the main tractor, 2000 hours and the treads going down quickly, a 480/70r38 bought to replace one of a pair of damaged Vredestein, more tread now left on the Vredestein, despite doing an extra 2 to 3000 hours.

Bugger. It's 580/70 38 I need and I was watching this thread, about to order some☹️. Have trelleborgs on a valtra n141 and they're totally bald in 3000hrs. Fair bit of road work in thatthough. On the other hand, I've wondered what vredestein would be like.

Two tractors on 65 profile yes.
What weight are you pulling with them?

2250 gall slurry tanker, 14 plus bales on a trailer , 12 tonne excavator occasionally, but this is a hilly area, need 4 wheel drive on some tarmac roads! But can prove with out a doubt that a 480/70 r38 Vredestein traction + will outlast a BKT by at least twice.

Never had that size so couldn’t comment
Got a set of 650/540 that’s done massive hours with no problem

What's the latest opinion on Alliance for tractors? Pricing a full set 540's for a little New Holland that I don't use very much, and 500 quid saving over BKTs would be useful to keep.

Our Ford 5000 has a set of 16.9R34's on the rear.

They have been on the tractor for about 6 years without any problems (probably jinxed it now!), but it does have a fairly easy life as the spare, run-around tractor.
