Alliance or Bkt ? replacing a set of 650/65/42 & 600/65/28 on a JD6150, I’ve used bkt before and was very pleased with them, Alliance are £700 cheaper tho, but had no experience of them. Would like the saving of £700 but they need to be right for the job. Anyone had experience of these makes? Thanks

Alliance have been around for years, I thought they’d have more of a following, heard that JD where fitting quiet a few of them.

BKT everytime,
we've had problems with Alliance and no help from them at all.

My local tyre fitter was highly recommending bkt over alliance for my Volvo (750 65 r26).
He claims the bkt has a higher load rating and he’s telling those using tankers to switch over.
I like my alliance, mine have endured more than any tyre should; but i have to listen too.

Alliance, according to the interweb, [I looked this up] has factories in Israel and India. It used to be an Israeli company but is now apparently owned by Yokahama Tire.
I think I have had some Alliance tyres on some implement or another. Can't remember.
BKT seem to be the flavour of the moment and I have landed with seven of them on my tractors. Why seven? Well one of the 620/70R42 Michelin tyres suffered a terminal rip in an inner sidewall while still having 80% tread left, through no fault of its own, so was replaced by a solitary BKT, which seems to be just as good at a substantially lower price.

Personally we’ve had a rear set of Ceat tyres and very impressed also got a set of floatations on a trailer by them too very impressed by the quality of the tyre and 7yr warranty.

Ordered BKT to go onto my tractor, Ceat do look a good up and coming tyre, but I know BKT. Didn’t think Alliance unfortunately were worth the risk. Thank you for all your comments

We've got BKT one a couple of tractors and trailers now and honestly can't fault them for the money, would recommend them to anyone. The less said about our experiences with Alliance the better.
