BKT or Alliance tyres

Hi, any feed back on either of these tyre brands being better than the other please? Within £20 of each other. 16.9 R34’s on a fairly low use stock tractor - hence the ‘budget’ choice.

I’m not sure Alliance are budget tyres after having a price for tyres on my Weidemann. Unfortunately only Alliance seem to make the size, 550/45/22.5 in a tractor tread!

👍🏻 For alliance , often found bkt a little rigid
Bkt do seem a harder rubber.

I bought our 526s with 2400hrs and had alliance all round I changed the fronts to bkt at 6000 and I've now changed the rear alliance at 9500hrs for another pair of alliance which I've swapped to the front.

The old ones were slick but the carcass's were as good as new.

I see ads for Alliance farm pro 2 tyres more recently. Seven year warranty. Competitively priced to the likes of BKT.

Edit.

And Agristar tyres.

Seven years warranty on the CEAT as well .
Haven't bought a set , Yet , but planning on doing so soon . A friend has a full set on a 6465 MF . Getting popular around here . Not much between price of CEAT , BKT ,or Cultor. The 3 popular budget tyres around here , depending on which tyre dealer you give your custom to .

We had same dilemma. Local tyre depot suddenly had Vredestein for same price. No idea if they are better but trailer tyres have been good. They do seem to grip well so happy with them. With us they will perish long before they wear out.

Very similar situation here but Goodyear tyres are also back under Titan.

I'm not sure if they are the same tyre, but Goodyear optitracs were absolutely brilliant tyres.

I've got BKTs on a Massey 5470 after changing from the originals. 540s and 440s. Whether it's the tyre or not, the tractor is now unbelievable uncomfortable at 36-38kph. Essentially, it's now a 35kph tractor! No suspension on tractor but I can't remember it being anything as bad and the only change is the tyres. The blocks do feel hard compared to others.

Can't remember off hand but within normal range. Hasn't done much road work recently - on loader so firm pressures suit - but could do with tweaking down maybe.
