BKT or CEAT

I know someone who put a 550 Ceat on a trailer and it was always running high in the middle at the same pressure as the other 3. He complained to the tyre company and they changed it for something else foc, to their credit.

Got ceat on a 7718 in work well over 4k hrs on them now mostly road work and buckraking plenty of meat left on them one rear did crack the sidewalls but think that was down to the hedge cutter hanging off that side and they offered a sweetener as a gesture so can’t fault them in my experience, the Michelins it came on failed on the sidewalls and wore quicker too

Job to say, a lot of rave about Ceat, there's some 560's on trailers where I go subbing and they seem to have done just as well as anything else. From what I could understand Ceat have taken the place of what BKT used to be and they have moved up the rankings, think if it was my money I'd go for BKT's simply as they've been around a good while now and have been well proven.

However all our replacements have been Mitas as we have been very pleased with them.

Have both had both CEAT and BKT tyres on my Kane trailer. CEAT a far better tyre, stronger sidewalls, don’t puncture as easily and wear slower than the BKT. Originally came on CEAT and now have it back on CEAT.
Can’t comment on tractor tyres, although I personally wouldn’t hesitate to use them after my experiences with their trailer tyres

I’ve sold quite a few Ceat and BKT and not had any problem with either , Ceat wins on price every time . The Ceat trailer tyres are very good and their RT is clearly a Nokian copy and we have some on a big tanker that is also running Nokian and they are standing up well.
Just ordered a set of VF for a 8740 MF and we are looking to see how they do .
