Anybody tried Gri tyres. Local independent fitter saying they're cheaper than bkt and performing well.

have a set or 420/85r34 on a 390, no real test but seem ok, only fitted 8 months and for grip i would say better than the same size agrimax wax 7 years ago when we fitted set of them. our 390 will not be a test for wear or heavy work obviously just post driving, buckraking, and bit of wrapping and ploughing with 3f 12 inch, no hard work.

A lot of tyre dealers saying Alliance agristar are as good or better than BKT but less money. They do look good but I remember years ago when they were shockers

From what i've seen the Alliance Agristar is about 800€ cheaper for full round than Bkt. Decent saving i think. Trelleborgs cost an eyewatering 9k€/round. Vredestein costs around 6,5k€/round. Bkt 6k€/round and Gri and Alliance 5200€/round.

Well seeing the list price the 9k seems "reasonable".

How do bridgestone wear? They look to have a lot deeper lug starting off anyway
The Bridgestone vx has supposedly been developed the ultimate roadwork/contractors tyre and likely aimed at the traditional Michelin market. Whether they are as good as they say I've no idea but they are wanting us to think they are.

Fitted some 650s on my 6930. Tyre fitter said they were really had to fit but he said were twice the tyre of the cheaper brands.
