Got alliance on the back of my 7710 and they are splitting badly, it’s rather worrying as there’s no way in the world I can afford a new pair !.

Says a lot about the BKT's because 600/65r38, regardless of make, are about the worst tyre money can buy. I've seen good and bad BKT tyres, most of the bad were 580/70r38, most of the good were 520/70r38 so I don't think one range is good or bad, I think it's just a general inconsistency across all of their tyres.
What’s so bad about 600/65r38s? I have a set of BKTS here and apart from being noisy on the road I like them. Planning on having some 580/70r38s or 520/85r38s on another tractor.

Looking to replace some 580/70 r38 now. What is the problem?

They're alright if you're just using them to carry weight on fairly level ground but they won't bite in and grip if you're trying to pull weight. I think their contact patch is too wide for its length. Anyone I know who had 600/65r38s replaced them with 580/70r38 if they were buying fronts too.

Because they have a larger rolling diameter presumably. I plough with 600/65r38s and have been impressed to be fair.

There were issues with bulges in the sidewalls that could only be resolved by fitting them to a tractor that was traded in. Also found the tread pattern very aggressive, which is ok for ploughing but a disaster for mowing. I think you'll be disappointed with BKT if you're used to Trelleborg.

I'm on steep grassland and the trelleborgs are plain dangerous because the bars are so wide they will not dig in.They came on the tractor but never again. Aggressive sounds good to me but some roadwork aswell

If you're not doing anything at speed on grassland you might get away with BKT but they can soon make headlands look like they've been rotovated. We tried adding weight and changing pressures but only answer was a different tyre.
If I was buying tyres I'd try to get Goodyear, they'll be the most expensive but worth every penny.

Have set of bkt agrimax 650 rears 540 fronts on a 6620 since 2015 4000 hours later still 50% never had any issues with them. put tianlia on 6150r recently because they worked out much cheaper and tried them on our loader tractor beforehand great results so far getting very popular around here!!!
