Why not spray a couple of times then plough level it off spray again in spring a dd into the frost filth.8 years ago
Ploughing is one option after spraying off 1st flush
Would need a better plough man than me though

Nothing wrong with a few SB’s in a row, a very profitable crop for us now.Heavy land with bands of warp in places
Min till.
Osr WW .W Beans. WW .WB .
This field will probably now have to go SB x2 then see what’s what
How long ago did you last plough? Are you worried that you’ll be turning new seed up?^^ No rain for a chit, so this is my cultural control.

My only criticism is that your plough appears to be ludicrously small! As the no till revolution gathers pace I think you should be able to acquire a more appropriate tool relatively cheaply. As an aside - The press is a bit of a one off. Excellent machine in the dry for shallow movement or levelling and getting a seedbed. Not so good in the wet.
Plough is an old Naud, best plough bodies ever made for heavy land IMO. Shearbolt system not so good though.
I do have a 9 furrow as well. But in the circumstances (ie dry and BG) and only 30 acres I decided to use the Naud.
As the no till revolution gathers pace they will ban glyphosate so the plough may come back into fashion.

Other than it bends in hard ground, and doesn't do as good a job as the Naud. Plus the quadtrac was busy and the fastrac wasn't.If I had a 9 furrow I would use it.
Good luck finding some land like that drilled with wheat this year. Any heavy bad bg land is currently uncropped around hereHi,
Working for one of the leader of contract research organisation, we are currently looking for a bad infested black-grass site on winter wheat ; application would take place post-em (no previous application prefered but may still be possible if infestation bad enough). For this trial we would test a new active substance coming soon on the market, farmers will be compensate for area used + crop loss.
Don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
Regards,
Pierre

Pretty difficult task this year you're right. Our usual land for BG aren't drilled and this delay is not in favor of good germination as well. Anyway if i don't try i'm, i'll not find
