Ive got some dodgy wheat that i'm looking to sell for wholecropping asap,
Does anyone have any idea on approximate wholecrop yield of thick wheat and blackgrass at approx growth stage 39/40
Also any idea on approximate value?

BG here is headed in places already, you run the risk of seeds being shed before the wheat is ready. I have been out with Glypho today on some of the worst. I have had it whole cropped before (SB + BG) and there is something very unsatisfying in watching it being done to the crop.

whole crop is too late for bg control
Not necessarily, did some last year. Mowed with out a conditioner and round baled it. Patch we did in that field has the most even consistent osr on it with very little bg and wish we had sprayed and mowed some more but it hurts when doing it! Will be doing some more this year in another field but have to agree the bg is coming into head already.
