Needing advice

I have a sticking calliper on my car, and due to go away on holiday tomorrow and no chance to get another before I go.

there is visible rust on the piston, which I’m planning on cleaning up with Emery paper and try to push the piston back using a g clamp

Would I be better to slacken the bleed nipple on the calliper before pushing the piston back, and if I do, will I then need to bleed the brakes before building it all back together again???

Rust on any brake piston should not be cleaned off with emery or sprayed with any oil based fluid take out pads and put a very small amount of automotive brake fluid on piston and squeeze back in put pads back in and push on brake pedal do this several times and should free up as a temporary repair.
