You wouldn't think so considering the amount you have posted in the last two years .

I reply to people who address me and/or reply to my messages, and I try to correct lies and errors made by others - these two have kept me very busy on this thread. I also try very hard not to comment on the details of the AHDB sector spends outside of my own, although not always successfully.

As to the last two years - not sure where you get that timescale from as you and I have only been in discussion since June of this year.

What’s your point? 4 posts a day over the last five years. Life can be lonely and this place is another social life.

Oh, and I can’t see you making it as a stock farmer if I’m honest.

Looks like we have hit our target so off to the ivory towers on Tuesday for the hand over ,we have been told there will be only two people to accept them presumably the other 598 are sat at home ,just a thought those two might be the cleaners.

I wish you well. As regards there being limited numbers there, that’s really no surprise, given the Covid crisis. The government advice is that if we can work from home we should do - I haven’t been to the office in months, but am still able to work.

On a serious note just had in a estate in fully supporting our campaign, they own 14,000 acres really pleased with this one .

What difference does 14k acres make? They've only got the same vote as someone with 14.............unless you want the votes weighted by acreage which of course you said was a travesty of justice when they decided the close potato levy vote in that manner some years ago?

Exactly what I was thinking when I said it because I wouldn't put it past them to try and pull the same stunt again.

Your problem is more going to be the other way around. Its no good shmoozing the big players in the industry, they only have the same vote as the small ones. You stand a bigger chance of losing the overall vote because the small players either are happy with what they get from the AHDB, or because they don't care as their payments are pretty small, than you do of winning the vote but the acreage being against you.

no goweresque we have very small growers who are only just over the threshold to growers paying six figure sums, also out of 115 only one thought they were doing a good job.

114 out of 127 is a good sign for your cause.
we cannot take anything for granted it depends on the ahdb convincing growers they are going to change, obviously they are going to drag their feet to call a vote to give themselves has much time has possible, one thing that came along this morning was an offer to meet with the heads of the ahdb which we have declined.
