Putting 12 blues a month through buitelaar at the minute around 21 days old, bulls av £360/380 heifers av £300/320.Average weight circa 60/65kg

Get em to 35 days and you'll put £50/head on

They would be in those averages yes, knock off 80-100 from the av for them and add it on the av for the best

Time will tell I guess. I'm what 3 months from my first sale. Hopefully prices might go up a bit.

I hope they will for you. For a rearers point of view i think if the beef price is here to stay the cheaper average calves will leave a better margin for them and be less of a financial risk than these £400+ reamers. Not the grass rats though, more the friesian bull types if they can be found

The annoying thing about these calf market reports is they don't give you weights or ages . Are the ones making £500 3 weeks old or 3 months old?

Hell of a trade, i was posting prices from the midlands. As i said above i didnt see you were based in cumbria which explains the high prices achieved. Weaned black and whites at £230 look cheap
