My laptop is playing up and won’t open certain web pages such as TFF, BBC, Lloyd’s Bank but will open sime such as google and Facebook.

All sites work fine from my phone in the WiFi.

I’ve cleared the cache, rebooted laptop and router. Run windows diagnostics which says everything is fine.

Run virus check and malware bytes. Nothing found.

Where next??

You've tried everything I would have thought of, try a different browser in the meantime?

Also you could send me your bank details and I'll see if I get any better luck. :sneaky::whistle:

Tried two other browsers. Same results.

Banks details are

Can google and get a result but can’t open any links. Only website that opens correctly is faceache.

Have tried loads of different things to correct but still no good.

It’s an aging laptop so I’ve bought a new one just now as having wasted a few hours trying to sort I’ve guvdn up for now.

If you open a command prompt window, then type ipconfig /all
The second to last line should say something like DNS Servers.....then list of addresses.

This list of DNS servers usually doled out by the device on your home network that is responsible for issuing IP addresses - your router. Typically it will just pass on the DNS servers (usually there is a primary and a secondary DNS server address) that it is given by your ISP.

Setting these to be other than your ISP DNS server(s) may help. Try setting to the Google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. You can follow this guide to help you out:

Ill try that, thanks.

Interestingly I have taken the laptop to another location and used it on the wifi there, it works perfectly and all sites are connected to as they should.

Sound it sounds to be ISP or Wifi related.

This is what IPconfig throws up:
