Blow fly

Hi not sure if this is the right place to ask but me n mum have had sheep for years they have always been our pets we currently have only 6 and we’re wondering what is the best treatment for prevention of blow fly we don’t want to buy in bulk as we only have 6, we usually buy the pour on but we’re wondering if this is the best treatment cheers

Rather than buying a product like Clik to prevent blowfly you could buy a 0.8 litre bottle of Crovect which will kill maggots if they get struck. With only 6 sheep the chance of maggots is extremely slim especially as they’ll probably be sheared in the next 6 weeks so the Crovect should last you for years if you even need to use it at all.

this time of year flies tend to have them in the shoulder or back end , clip around tail to keep clean and dry as this is what attracts them in first place , then a light shot of crovect will keep them going for quite a while
