Used Crovect for 5/6 years, good but still got odd blown lambs. Always said Clik was too dear. Wife took me to Florida 3 years ago so I cliked everything before we went so brother had one less thing to deal with. Done it every year since! Well worth it and the claims of persistence I've always found pretty accurate

What sold me on Clik was 2007. I had a bunch of 100 shearling rams in a field, shorn in late April and treated with a Clik a week or two after. In mid-June those sheep were out in a grass field with little shelter when we had 5” of rain in 8 hours. They may as well have been pressure washed!

Use click extra on all the lambs . Mostly on " nature " land so need a product that works well as the there are plenty of places for a sheep to hide up if it gets flyed . Works for 19 weeks but need to keep a closer eye at around 15 weeks as it will be running out of steam.
Getting more and more expensive so used Dysect on the ewes after shearing last year , worked well, and had no fly strike in them.

Wouldn't touch clikzin personally. Was asking about them all and withdrawal. Clikzin in 8days withdrawal 6to8week protection £150 something for 5litre crovect is 7-8day withdrawal 6to8week protection £50 something for 5litre. Can't get clik off shelf at our local merchant they only stock clik extra cause the amount they buy its no more than clik. 19week protection stick it on early enough and the 40days won't matter

Clikzin covers the full body and is ok to use when large numbers being done.
Crovect only does where it touches and is horrible stuff.
Depends on what your situation is with flies and sheep numbers.
We get hammered with flies from April to end of October.
All ewes get dosed with clikzin pre clipping and Clikextra after clipping.
Not a cheap option but can be confident were covered as been there and used crovect on 2000 ewes then still had strike where the stuff wasn't applied.

I don't mind crovect I hate dysect it makes me feel unwell I don't treat ewes and treat lambs with clik extra but this year done some lambs with crovect that I don't expect to be here in 40days

We knapsack spray dilute crovect in the early season, whenever the sheep are penned. It feels like it does some good.
That gets us through to June. Fattest lambs then click zin-ed. All other lambs click-extra.
Ewes sheared in late may, don't get treated till july, then just use normal 'click'.
Buy clikzin or Extra at least once because it comes in a lovely bottle that works upright, rather than having to wear it upside down on your back like clik and crovect.

Do identical to Ciderman and Anymulewilldo . Just reverse product order on the lambs , because the 40 day WD fits in here . System works well .....
What do you dilute the Crovect with? Just water?
Yes. Sometimes a surfactant too.
It's a hangover from spraying dilute sheepdip which had the same active.

No , Crovect has its place once strike is present .... But apart from that Cypermethrin is a bag of sh!t !!
