Do you not know that you should run 120kg ewes and 70kg tups! 😂

I've given up trying to educate someone that thinks the way forward is to keep ruddy great Suffolk X ewes, then cross them with a wee wheezing ram. :whistle:

C&D Auction Marts Limited had forward 6,742 sheep comprising of 3,403 prime lambs and 3,339 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown on Thursday 21st October 2021.


A reduced entry of 3,403 prime lambs sold to a fast trade being 10p up on the week, well finished sheep proved a massive trade and very good to sell.

Best export sheep regularly ventured over 300ppk and proved in big demand. Top price per kilo of 320p achieved for Beltex lambs shown by Douglas & Charlie Elliot, High Greenhill, Kirkcambeck.
