Have had a call this morning from someone claiming to be from Standard Life insurance informing me of a change to the way my policies are paid and not to worry it can very easily be done over the phone . It would involve a card payment for the first month premium and then the rest by DD.
He was quite persistent even though I have no policy with them !!!

I put this up just for everyone to be aware

Always good for a chuckle .I had a call from EE saying my direct debit wasn’t honoured and could I set a new one lol .Kept him on for just shy of 17 minute before I told him I was with 02 whereby he hung up .The computer scam is another one ,always good for a chuckle .

Couple of weeks ago i had a txt from a mobile type number saying my ee direct debit wasnt working and if i didnt want extra charges i should click the link in the txt. Quick google search showed it to be a common scam. Yesterday on the home phone scammers rang up to say i had just spent £300 on a visa card and i should wait to speak to an adviser to cancel it. Bas#ards must cause alot of elderly people alot of stress and worry.
