Boiler for Hot Water

We’re putting in a new dairy and are slightly limited in terms of electric supply so looking for ways to reduce demand and thought about an oil boiler to heat the water for the dairy.
Was wondering if anyone doing similar. What size might I need and would a Combi boiler do the job? Would save a tank etc.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Combi would be fine for the tank but no good for filling the wash trough.

No reason why you couldn't use a conventional oil boiler and cylinder set up.

No need to do hot wash at nights,it's a waste of time chemic and money.

Not sure to be honest.
Would be a good idea to work out a figure so you can size your boiler correctly

Heat recovery from your compressors would be a good start, then top up temp with leccy or oil.
Heat recovery was in the last small grant scheme. A new one is promised shortly, Standard cost was circa £7k last time

Local fridge man is pricing up a system for us now ready for the grant scheme opening.

Are you sure on that I’m fairly certain max amps per phase is a 100amp so you could be on a 2 phase or 3phase
No single phase 200 amp, highways agency uprated transformer from 100 to 200 to get power to m6 overhead gantry, which they have now removed and replaced with the smart motorway.one of the few perks

I would think that recovering heat from the milk and some solar thermal collectors would probably do the job. I believe he solar thermal gets non domestic RHI payments [you get discount for using electricity this way]. I suspect that @akaPABLO01 and @Exfarmer could be rather helpful here.

I think it can be done for a lot less, basically a heat exchanger and a large “megaflo”.

Right, firstly, hot washing once a day is ample, there are people doing it 3 times a week
Secondly work out how much hot water you need
Thirdly remember you need all that water quickly, not wait 10 minutes for the tub to fill up and lose its heat before it's circulated
Fourthly if you can boil a kettle and cool milk you can run a hot water element
Fifth, don't listen to too many salesmen, keep it simple
