so, our insurance is trying to get us to upgrade our insurance to cover engineering cover. whilst that isnt expensive in its self. one requirement is that we need to have a annual inspection.
its a very simple boiler and we generally maintain it how it needs to be for the RHI.

Does anyone know anyone in west midlands (herefordshire) who would come do a annual inspection that they can recommend?
Thanks
Matt

I fell out with the NFU bloke over insurance. When they came out they gave in completely - these are very safe really, no chance of fire once it’s loaded unless the door blows off! They thought it had a lot of risk attached to it.

they managed to add a risk of the chimney possible setting fire to the fibre cement roof though 😜

who installed it? There is nothing really to service other than a sweep of the chimney really. I can give you the name of some very good plumbers near you who have installed hundreds of these but they may well have installed it anyway!

they come and clean out the filters etc once a year and look at it, more to get an invoice for OFGEM than anything else

so from what i understand, if their is a fire and the a fault with the boiler is found to be the cause then limited insurance as it hasnt basically had a MOT.
If you can be bothered, I'd try asking Farm 2000 to do a factory training day. Get a certificate from them for this training.
Then tell insurer, that your a factory trained engineer/operator.

Froling trained me in their testing house in Austria and gave me a cert, any insurance questions, I show them the cert and tell them I'm factory trained by Froling. They shut up fairly quickly then.

F2000 has changed captains recently, not sure if they do (or ever did) training courses
