Have a guy who struggles to set up a top link when using various equipment. Just thought of bolting on a spirt level on to the kit as an aid and reminder to adjust the top link. Has any one else done this

I have done this with a Dowdeswell plough when driven to distraction by mismatched front furrow. Didn't bolt it on but kept it in the cab. 2 foot builders level.

Only word of caution is that implements often pull in to a different angle on the move when compared to stationary and some, such as ploughs sometimes work better when left to right is not quite level but inclined slightly.

I have had more success with using a tape measure to record top link length when I've finally got it right then next year I can just set it there and get on.....if I can find the piece of paper I wrote the setting on.

Doesn't take much on a top link to make a big difference.

I find with Fert spreader the angle of the machine changes when you dumb a bag in then you can't turn the top link so setting to prerecorded setting essential. No good setting level when empty in shed.

Lots of little nuances that contribute to doing a good job.
