Bomb proof tractor

Looking for thoughts on a 100hp ish 4wd tractor, as few electronics as possible.

Not new - prob around 20 to 30 years old.

Basically something that can be fixed with a spanner and hammer - not a computer!!

Fendt farmer 309 or 310 Lsa. Mine has 19000hours and is still going. Engine and tranny were rebuild for around 7k€, otherwise it feeds the cattle every day.

I get what you mean, however kind of wish I hadn't sold my Leyland 384.....

Old as Noah but try as I might I couldn't kill it! Could run with one wire and a battery.

MF398 here last 15 odd years, has had nothing but usual bits of servicing and the odd random ball joint on the steering for whatever reason!, and fekin punctures! The 880 loader attached to it gives a bit more grief with seals n what not. Not killed tho at 1 or 2 hundred hrs a year. Do try and keep ontop of wee bits n pieces as needed too tho, as I imagine is required with any of them!

I’ve had these so called bombproof tractors
Someone mentioned a case mx, we had one, spent £10k on a gearbox rebuilt then 5000 hours later the diff fell out
Someone mentioned 10 series John Deere, we have one which we have just put £12k worth of reconditioned gearbox in it!

My lambo 105 is still going. New engine liners, gearbox bearing, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed by me. 105 hp lightweight pocket rocket.
