When spreading urea on spring barley at 150kg/ha I did a field with the border deflector on left down. Kuhn axis spreader at 18m.
What can I do anything to rectify this?

If you have access to trays then test your spreader with the vanes down, go there and back and see what the spread pattern is like and if you have anything to worry about .

There again if it's your last dose on spring barley then just sit back and relax, not a lot you can do with out Alot of hassle

Ive don't the whole field with the border thing / telemat on a Kuhn spreader left down. Was fine. The limiter brings it to almost a hard stop on that side, and so it all lines up in the field. Or good as. Not enough for me to fret about.
I've done exactly as above with a Kuhn and the telimat, couldn't see any real difference, wouldn't worry about it.

I have done this multiple times this season alone! 😂

I don’t understands why the spreader manufacturers don’t fit an alarm in the screen that beeps say once every 10 seconds when the border spreader is down. You’d soon remember it then.

It has enough other alarms for low hopper, empty hopper, low disc speed, high disc speed, greasing required etc. and many of those seem less important to me.

I always have the back window open on the latch, just so I can hear the fert.
On our old Amazone, it use to rattle through the limiter with such a noise, you knew if it was down or not.

The replacement Kuhn makes far less noise. I look forward to the time i spread a hopper load and then realise I did it all with the limiter down

On our Kubota there is a sensor linked to a little icon/picture on the main spreading screen. This is to tell you if the border thing is up or down.
It's very good, but it's not fool proof!
I forgot to lift the thing and spread about half the middle of a field while doing the 2nd dose of N. I know where I did it, but right now I can't tell that it happened. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Totally agree with this-just bought my 2nd Geo spreader and was hoping that they would have added a’beep’ to the flashing icon, but seems KV ignored my suggestion!
