Borehole installation

Anyone got any recommendations for a company to drill / install a borehole in The North East? Loads of companies about and I've had some wild variance on quotes. We know there's water here as there's an old, filled in well so looking for someone to redrill, and install pumps, pipework etc.

Anyone done similar recently?

Will depend, on how much water you want, on depth. if the hole needs a liner What size pump. If you need any filtration.
5 years ago ours 70m deep with filters for iron & manganese UV filter giving about 18 cu m day circa £16k

Drilling the hole is probably the cheapest bit

Think water is within 50m, there's been a well and a windmill pump here in the past and it's not domestic, just for the animals. Short distance to sheds too. Hopefully not too fiddly. Or pricey..
