Borehole pressure vessel pressure question

I presume you mean the pressure on the air side. Just found this on google.

Prior to operation, with the tank, empty of water, the pressure should be 2psi below the cut-on pressure. So, for example, with a 30-50 pressure switch (factory default setting), air pressure in the tank will equal 28psi. If the pressure switch is adjusted to 40-60, the cut-on pressure will be 38psi.

yes air pressure
I got approx 40psi in there

Edit:facepalm:
Just realised it had water pressure in when I checked it

Doesn’t sound too far out if you have water in there already. The bladders do give up eventually and the whole tank becomes water only:banghead:. Replaced 2 pressure vessels here in the last 25 years and 1 borehole pump.

We had one fail a few years ago, arrived at work and there was water running out the door of borehole shed, went in and the pressure vessel was lying on its side, a bit confused as to how I turned the water off, went back later with some tools and noticed the pressure vessel sized dent in the roof, the vessel had split around the bottom and took off.

:woot: Luck you weren’t in there at the time

Wouldn't think a vessel with water pressure in would go far as there's no energy in stored pressure water like air
