So BOJO won the first round big time... 1/3 of the vote is the figure I heard, but not checked.

There is a big tranche of the ERG nutters in his supporters now, so it will be really interetsing to see if there is an "Opposition" forming after the 2nd round.

I would doubt that Johnson can get a consensus in Parliament for a no deal brexit and it makes an Election even more likely. So, is Johnson a liability or an asset to the Conservative party in an Election? My guess is the former... He is a serial liar and has been caught out once to often I suspect for swing voters to trust him.

Loved hearing his pathetic, evasive and waffling response to Laura K's question yesterday on his taking of coke... Personally I'm not really bothered much on his use or recreational pharmaceuticals, but it'll go badly with the Gammons:D
I wonder if dear laura can be asked the same question .....

Well whether she has or hasn't is a question for her to answer.... if anyone is bothered...

However, she is not standing for Prime Minister. Johnson is!
She may not be standing to become PM, but she could have considerable influence on all things political.
Therefore. She should not shirk away from being subject to personal scrutiny.

I detect a touch of sour grapes, as she asked a difficult question of The Chosen One??

I work on the basis that that both Labour and Tory Parties have grumbled about her in the past. To me that suggests a good and proper level of impartiality....(y)

Be interesting to see how Emily Maitlis handles him in the TV debate...

And to echo Homer Simpson, 'Hmmm. Coast guard?'

And to echo Homer 'Even a fool learns something once it hits him' and Simpson (Wallis) 'You can never be too rich or too thin'. ;)

Jeez, she's only a Journo albeit a good one. Yet you ascribe a level of power waaay beyond that even her critics could believe possible....!!

If you genuinely believe that the media don't hold enormous power, you should pop over here to Wales because there is a really big bridge that I'd be interested in selling to you... :angelic:
