An issue is raising its head which has been in the making for the last ten years,, or possibly more.
However our leaders are too busy worrying about getting their skiing trips in next winter without being called out for hypocrisy that they have not noticed how this storm gathering.
They have jumped on the anti fracking band wagon to appease middle England. They have demolished the coal fired power stations without a care as to where the gas to run the generation of stations is coming from.
They have not built the nuclear stations to ensure when the sun does not shine and the wind does not blow we can keep warm.
Instead they have allowed us to become dependent on the vagaries of a few despots to control our energy supplies, and I am not talking EDF here.
They have allowed industries once considered essential for out national security to be flogged off to foreign owners who give not a damn about our military or domestic concerns
Why is anyone at all surprised when a perfect storm comes and these people decide to screw every last penny they can out of us.
We can see energy bills doubling this winter, which may be wonderful for me as a generator but it could hit the economy harder than Covid. Further there is no sign that this energy inflation is going to cease .
But hey ho, you can all fly off skiing, if you can afford it.
Will this be Boris’s nemesis?
