There are still 48% of us who dont agree.
Thats democracy and with 52% of those who bothered to vote its time to accept it and pull together, when I worked with my old man I didnt agree with everything he wanted to do but when the decision was made always did my best to make it a success not carp from the sidelines like a spoilt child like a lot of the remain side are doing

But this is a democracy that we live and you are in the minority. When we have a general election and the majority of the population elect one party, should their decision be overturned by the minority? That isn't how democracy works.

Normally in the UK the government is elected by a minority.

But without the majority of the seats in parliament, so they'd have no mandate, and so majority rules. I accept though that proportional representation is (or should be) the basis of democracy, and so we live with what we have.

Yes,but it would be a pretty dull forum if everyone agreed with each other. I think we are outnumbered on here about 10 to 1.

Your proportioning of the figures for Remain and Leave on here, is probably about right. I wonder if that represents Farming in general or if it was a case of those wishing to leave had the most to say whilst those who would have had us stay were in truth either rather complacent or frankly had nothing other than empty promises to support their argument.

Had it not been for the disproportionate influence of the Scottish vote, led I would add by the SNP, those who would remain would have been at a substantially lower figure, so the statisticians tell us.

Its rather ironic had the remain vote turned out in the same volume in Scotland as the rest of the country then we would be staying in the UK.

Personally I am deeply sceptical about that 48%.
For a couple of months prior to the referendum, wherever I went I'd ask people what they were going to vote. People in the garage, the chip shop, the dentists, doctors & receptionists, friends, neighbours, people on our fox shoot, servers in the pub, people who called at the house, postmen, couriers, you get the picture?
Only 2 definite Remainers did I meet plus about 15 -20% of Don't Knows. Yet somehow around 40% voted to remain.

Boris is actually an inspired choice for the role. For starters, despite the bumbling exterior, I think his heart is in the right place, which is a quality that has been missing in some MPs over the years. Secondly, the guy is seriously intelligent and ruthless as well if the rumours in political circles are to be believed, he went to school in Brussels, studied at Oxford and speaks near half a dozen languages. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing and more importantly understands the Euro 'clique'. The more you research the guy, the more you realise he is perfect for the job.

I believe Prime Minister May will turn out to be as serious as old Mrs Thatcher but with a bit more humanity, already cut out a lot of Cameronites, but I do fear this might have upset a lot of the party internally. We will see. Again, a good lady for the job, particularly if Hillary Clinton gets elected.
