Boris Is Toast

That's not the point I'm making cummings lied about what he did and loads of people called him all sorts now those sane people believe every word he says because he is now saying what they want . If boris went to a party then he has to go but not on the word of a sake like Cummings
And some wonder how Putin remains in power...
Yip Dear leader plays the plausible deniability game for every way out, just for the acolytes.

Birds of a feather🤔
I am afraid that things started to fall apart rapidly in my view when Cummmings broke the rules and Boris defended him. The whole process from then on has become a very dirty affair which British politics can do without. This has similarities with Putins Russia but at least we can all speak without fear of being assassinated, which makes it a very public affair. Boris is undoubtedly tainted and will be replaced but we need strong leadership by someone who is not tainted. Suggestions please.

The problem as I see it today is that we are no no longer dealing with extreme socialist or communist threats but the worst aspects of undemocratic government. Putin is not a communist though he is a product of the communist era. He is a ruthless robber of the people he rules and retains power in the most inhumane manner. He may be our number one enemy but he is very far from being alone amongst the undemocratic rulers of this world. We ain`t seen nothing yet as the saying goes, and there are some others with whom we should be maintaining a safe distance.

But it's the route to that position we are currently tolerating in our own country.
When you are a member of the governing party on Question Time, and you are getting laughed at then you really should be thinking "WTF I am I doing or saying that makes them laugh at me"
But alas no they parrot the "party line" (quite literally at the moment) and we all move one step closer to a UK Putin.

Yes they've taken VAT off their energy bills, and used the % left to increase funding for free insulation for homes and imposed a windfall tax!
Their energy bills were smaller than yours. Spain has frozen tariffs as well.
We have insulation grants here, you are twisting the facts again, spains vat is still twice ours regardless that they have dropped it, cant comment on the tax or freeze as I've not checked, but I cant see how they can freeze prices unless they are paying the firms for the extra cost of production and if they are imposing a tax on those profits they are just taking back some of it.

I have no idea if there is any truth in that poster or not, however some of the figures been spoken of are comparing our total rise with a three month rise, we have all received a 150 council tax refund to help with fuel costs thus helping the poor most, you can buy fuel for less than that here in places, when we left France in mid feb fuel I prices I saw varied from 1.55 at service stations down to around 1.40 in towns ours was 1.39 when we got back last tank I bought was 1.79 but have seen it at 1.85, no idea what it is on the motorway now

The EU was always used as a smokescreen by our politicians and civil servants who would gold plate regulations and put the blame on them. Since leaving they can no longer do this and can be chucked out at the next election if the public so wish. Whether the next lot are any better is another question.

Money box today at 12pm radio 4 had a good review of some of the difficulties and potential iniquities of Rishi’s attempt to give money out. General view was council tax rebate a poor vehicle. Appreciate BBC is regarded as trotsky propoganda on here but it was a programme worth listeningbto for some proper facts. Might help you two returning each others backhands.

Not many PM's have had as much on their plates as Boris has had.
Brexit, eu , biggest Pandemic in near History , possibly war in Europe etc etc etc.
And it's just our luck that as all that was going on we were led by the biggest firkin idiot that ever set foot in Downing Street.

And that comes from someone who voted for him. He's heading for a disaster in May but he should never have been allowed to stay that long.

Surely the first thing they should have done was to restore the £20 universal credit cut, 5p off petrol was a waste of money!

Absolutely Brian. Restoration of the £20 would have been effective and immediate. This was said on Money Box. The Most effective method of distributing money to those deemed in need is through the benefits system. Cannot fathom why Sunak has gone for such a convoluted method. Students for example are entitled but many will be between residences and often do not actually pay council tax. Then there are many needy pensioners in band E properties. Ah well. Be just desserts if Sunak gets badvfallout.

Can fishy Rishi have any understanding of how people who aren't billionaires live?
Woman on the radio saying she works full time and can only feed her kids 1 meal a day and she's eating their leftovers!
WTF has happened to the UK?! It's 2022 not 1822!!

Its not just UK though LBP. I hazard a guess somewhere in Le Francais I will be able to find similar. I say that before you are pilloried about being anti UK. You can pillory me instead for a false view France. I also anticipate the usual tirade of 'well cancel the Netflix, mobile phone, 55 inch Flat screen Tv, etc, etc'. But the grim reality is the energy price rise is going to have significant impacts as per 1973. This is a switch in power to the energy producing countries of the Middle East, Russia, Nigeria etc. All generally with autocratic governments that will understandably see this as an opportunity to gather petro dollars. The mum unable to feed her kids in Wigan or the 80 year old who dies of hyperthermia in Nottingham is as poor misfortunate in this war, for it is indeed WW3, of its sorts. As for Sunak, well no Chancellor and very rare politician can fully appreciate the lives and ways of living of many, many of the electorate. Does it matter if he understands. Doubt it. Might affect the wording of a speech or two.

For years there has been a rush to green energy with little thought of what happens when the wind doesn't blow or the sun doesn't shine, even now politicians & green prats spout more turbines are the only answer & yet some evenings our so called green energy produces less than 6% of our energy needs even including Drax's 800,000 trees burnt a day, god help us if we get a really cold long dark windless winter one day.
