Boris Johnson unveils ‘grow for Britain’ plan

That’s certainly chiming with me. Spent much of last week in the office churning through paperwork for a forthcoming RT inspection. Lots of new paperwork and policies required, some of which directly cost me money (eg in extra vet input). Who exactly is demanding that UK farmers have the highest standards in the world? I doubt it’s your average punter who wouldn’t recognise a Red Tractor logo, doesn‘t know what it means and certainly wouldn’t pay a premium for it in this time of rising costs.

I tell you what; I know that most employed folks will do bits and bobs outside of their paid hours, but if you gave your average (eg) train-driver an extra week of unpaid work a year the unions would be going wild!

We must be effing mad🙁
