Is getting HMS Defender to deliberately sail though disputed Russian territorial waters just another of Bozza's global posturing acts, aimed at the tabloid press and constituents of Spen and Batley next week. Just like the dispatch of Royal Navy warships to Jersey just prior the the May local elections. And will he change his mind over HMS Queen Elizabeth not sailing through though the Taiwan Straights if he needs a boost?

Last June a Russian destroyer sailed through the English Channel no great fuss, it was escorted back into international waters by I believe both UK and French Warships. It was no great fuss, this is just Putin trying to look the hard man to his own audience. The response was expected, hence the presence of the media to see pyrotechnics. The Russians put on a pretty disappointing display

You two French correspondents are soo predictable. Anything anti UK and you are all over it like a rash. Oh dear!
Why is it anti UK? Anti Boris Johnson and his joke shop cabinet I will happily accept. :D
Joking apart going around the world antagonising other countries with aggressive willy waving is not generally a smart move with some counties. Particularly as the US and EU can't be definitely relied on to back the UK up in any escalation caused.
