I really don't get your kind of stupidness but credit where credit is due... with all your informed postings I do admire your dedication to it.(y)

What I say is actually the truth.

Keep the lockdown going for months and there will be NO NHS in 2/3/5+ years time, its as simple as that, what do you think pays for the NHS?? taxes and if the government aren't carefull there will be NO tax income for the next 10+ years..

Think about that!

If the virus is around for years then that is a very short time when you consider a million years is not even a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things

So you are prepared to have NO life and be locked into your house 24/7 for the rest of your days??

Think about that before you answer....

About 16,000 people a year die from the flu in the UK every year.

In the 2014/15 flu season the number of deaths from flu in the UK was put at about 28,000.

So stop with your point scoring im clever bullpoo silverfox because you are far from that!
Obviously that's 16000 perfectly healthy people because obviously you wouldn't count ones with underlying conditions.

I don't have a house I live in a mobile home
I have never said I would be happy to be locked in and I challenge you to quote where I have said that

No end of people have had the virus and don't even tell the NHS that they have had it so the figure of 95% is what they are saying is the amount people that have had the virus but don't show suffer that badly from it ( unlike the other 5% sadly )
No end of people have had something.... just like in any normal year no end of people would have had something.... in most years that includes me! But now every cough or raised temperature, it most have been Covid19  ! Anyone who claims that had it before March almost certainly didn't have it, anyone who claims they had it before February is certainly deluded. But there is a snag in relying on your 95% figure... about 50,000 confirmed cases *20 = about about 1million infected now but at the cost of about 5000 lives.... lets say we need 50million infected before see any form of herd immunity.... 5000*50 = 250,000 dead

I didn't say you would be happy but you imply that you would be prepared to have no quality of life/ freedoms for the rest of your life if that saves a few people from the virus.

You are making the figures up!

And HOW can you be SO SURE that NO ONE had the virus in March/ Feb etc??

Especially given the first recorded case in the UK was at the end of Jan....

Kinda shoots your argument out of the water....................

So check your facts first...

Ha ha

The problem is people on here think a long term lockdown is the answer and will protect them/their loved ones from the virus but sadly that is not the case unless you keep the country locked down and people locked up in their homes for several years at least until a vaccine may be ready.

Harsh truth is that we are going to have to open up the country again and live with the virus for several years.

A prolonged lockdown is NOT the answer and will cause more problems/ deaths than it solves/ saves.

I will agree the lockdown can only be a short term solution, and, as the NHS relies on taxes to run, I agree that future funding, will get difficult, depending on how the economy recovers from this.
But, this is something, that has come from nowhere, to bringing global trade close to collapse, there is no blue print, on how to deal with it, only a few pie charts from some overpaid civil service quango, it was never, ever going to happen, oh ##### it has. There is not enough equipment in the world, to supply what's needed, and some of what is, is proving to be defective, it will come, in time, but it has to be made, first.
Perhaps, for the economy, c19 has one saving factor, in that it's global, and most countries will have the same monetary blip, so will be in the same mess, as we will be in. For the future, history may well say, that lockdown, was not the answer, and we should have dealt with it, as, we would, a normal flu epidemic.
But, I think the country should show a united front, not all the sniping, and criticism that happens now. And we should all hope, and give our best wishes, to boris, for a speedy recovery, if only because, he is probably the right man to achieve the best outcome.

as farmers, we are incredibly lucky, that we can carry on with our lives, without to many restrictions, just inconveniences, and lock down to us, is a polar opposite of the urban population, they are not in our sort of lockdown, imagine flats, small houses, terraced houses, rough area's, and not allowed out, and screaming kids into the pot, as well.

When you start personal attacks you have lost your argument!
Your case is an exception.

I have been very insulting toward you - and you deserve it - yet am able to run rings around you in argument. Admittedly this is only in tiny part due to my own personal brilliance, and overwhelmingly down to the fact that you churn out such large amounts of unsubstantiated / unverifiable rubbish and never reply to specific points.

You're a wannabe panic-monger but are so bl**dy stupid and awful at it that you just make people laugh at you. (y)
