Don't think Boris can claim any points for that........
But if prices were bad he would get the blame. I can't understand the apathy in some farmers when things ATM are good.

It is quite possible that the Tory Party, in their thirst for perpetual power at any cost, will sacrifice either or both N. Ireland and Scotland to independence, probably Scotland. They will pretend that they want them to remain in The Union but actually welcome their independence, knowing that without Scottish MP’s and constituencies, they are most likely to remain in absolute power in Westminster and over the rest of their dominion for many decades.
Sad but true, may have to up sticks and move back to the Emerald Isle.It is quite possible that the Tory Party, in their thirst for perpetual power at any cost, will sacrifice either or both N. Yes, rid us of those snp and lab MPs having a vote in Westminster while our MPs have no vote over the border. It is quite possible that the Tory Party, in their thirst for perpetual power at any cost, will sacrifice either or both N. Vote him out then. Here in North Shropshire we will soon be having a by election after our Tory MP Owen Paterson has had to step down.
I’ve got to say that I’m rather disappointed that in such a true blue area as North Shropshire which I believe hasn’t seen anything other than a Tory MP in over a 100 years can’t put up a local candidate for the Conservative party but instead has opted for a candidate from Birmingham.
There again, as a local farmer who is pushing the new Tory candidate said to me today, the people of North Shropshire would vote for a turnip if you put a blue rosette on it.
With an attitude like that, we get the politicians we deserve
Would be interesting to know what Liz Truss is like as a constituency MP as she was parachuted in to rural Norfolk
Mad isn’t it. Yet people still vote for her because she’s blue despite doing nothing for the areaStill to find it. Safe Tory constituency so no fear of the locals uprising. Has sent her Constituency office a couple of rounds of Stilton and Wensleydale.
Why are so many posters bashing BoJo?? How about because he's a serial liar, in public and private life, without a shred of personal integrity? And incompetent with it. Farm gate prices are good for the moment but he's doing his best to bugger that up by signing trade deals with NZ and Australia.Mrs May very nearly lost to Corbyn and would have done if the Grenfell Tower fire had been a week earlier.
Boris thrashed Corbyn because he is likeable and electable.
Why so many posters are knocking Boris I don't know, when farm prices have never been so good.
I like Boris and hope he wins the next election, but I don't like all the green krap, or the tax hikes. However they would be greener and higher with the reds in charge.
Care to expand on that?SNP love shack ............... knobs
I won’t be helping to vote him in.Vote him out then.
they tried that in Ludlow in 2001 and the whole of the constituency voted against the Tory candidate. A local Tory councillor (Philip Dunne) won in 2005 and has held it with increasing majorities ever since (although hopefully he will get a bloody nose next time as he is well past his sell by date)
The Tories tried to push in a bloke called Martin Taylor smith from London.
for Oswestry, it seems that the Birmingham doctor does have some links to the area, but in my view, the whole point of constituency politics is that you have local politicians
I’m hoping Helen Morgan will win this time . At least she is local , not from BirminghamHere in North Shropshire we will soon be having a by election after our Tory MP Owen Paterson has had to step down.

But then you'll, maybe get an offshoot that splits the vote, libs!It is quite possible that the Tory Party, in their thirst for perpetual power at any cost, will sacrifice either or both N. Still wouldn't be his doing, its the market stupid! But if prices were bad he would get the blame. I can't understand the apathy in some farmers when things ATM are good.
Well, in a way they do! Who sets central taxation from which expenditure is then sent about the place? Who determines defence policy that is for us all? Rather get rid of the freeloaders in the devolved govts, they basically bribe the greens with extra salary in made up jobs.Yes, rid us of those snp and lab MPs having a vote in Westminster while our MPs have no vote over the border.
That’s the way my vote will most likely go this time, I know a few others, folk you’d consider traditionaly Conservative thinking the same.I’m hoping Helen Morgan will win this time . At least she is local , not from Birmingham

As I understand it, he worked for 12 months at the Robert jones and Agnes hunt hospital which is his link to the area.
So he’s been in the army, became a doctor, is currently a barrister specialising in cases against the NHS and now wants to be an MP, not sure how old he is, no more than 40 at a guess, it strikes me that the bloke doesn’t know what he wants to do/doesn’t stick at anything too long
