Borrow a field in North East

Can’t you just find a spot in the National Park or somewhere close, I’ve never really been into the mud bit but never been short of finding a quiet spot when required!

Farmers field mud = worms, beetles, bugs, stones and possibly parasites
I'd rather fill a paddling pool in my garden myself.... ( if I ever I felt the need to roll around in mud for pleasure that is ) Lol

I did expect a bit of a ribbing to be fair! Yeah it's a bit unusual, granted, and yeah sterile would be a bit safer in some ways but probably not as much fun.
Yep the irony is that when you want to find a decent spot, you can't. We've been out a few times trying to find some and had no luck whatsoever!

You want to be somewhere like an off-road 4x4 site, they tend to have mud pits all year round.

Drumclog offroad near Glasgow will definitely have mud.

Or Frickley near Doncaster.

Wilton offroad near Middlesbrough may still have mud, and is in the woods, but is subject to trespassers...
