Who bought it though , when it's been through the knock put 500 transport on it price will creep up

Along way to go ££££ to get to this, as a good like for like comparison.

[QUOTE="glasshouse, post: 5648806, offering the second challenger without a bid stinks[/QUOTE]

I am fairly sure the auctioneer asked an “opening bid” of £10,000, based on what the first on made. The buyer who bought it, I believe got it as a “maiden bid”

If i was the vendor i would be really pee'd off. If its a line of similiar gates or fomething fair enough, but offering the second challenger without a bid stinks
Good job you never go to plant auctions. That's a different world.
Last month saw 13 two year old 3cx's sell. Polish internet bidder bought first one and took the lot. That shut the crowd up.
Apparently he'd left his 13yr old lad sat at home to do the bidding

Ha
Been to plenty
In a line of identical machines, the first one is always the cheapest, the auctioneer needs to make very clear he intends to sell them all as one, as buyers who have travelled far will be v pi.ssed off

But they usually make it clear first that the first winning bidder can choose which one or how many they want. So the first one will be the dearest.
