[QUthere "suffolksmallholder, post: 2017144, member: 1498"]My fathers late partner was involved in expanding the bottling plant at Blenheim in the 90's, shortly after the sawmill closed. If you do-it-right I'm sure there's money in quality and pleasant tasting water. I would imagine marketing is the make or break here.

I did a harvest there and helped in the bottling plant.

Every time I see the bottles in the shops it makes me chuckle - the same water was used to wash down the diary - goes to show how valuable it is!

I can only suggest your local water authority as a first and also a quality test to ensure the water extracted is pure enough to sell on to the public. Other than that rumours of magical health improvements, recoveries from incurable illnesses and othern similar miracles are entirely in your hands;)

Visited a reasonably well known water brand this year on a farm and run by the farmers. One of the partners told us how much profit they had made last year and it wasn't much for the size and complexity of the business, a lot less than my 350 cows made me!

Our estate tried it a few years ago. They had a very tidy setup in some old Victorian buildings, but it didn't last long, and they soon found it wasn't the easy moneymaker that it appeared.
