Bowden cables

I have a medium sized Twose hegdecutter that managed to pull the top link casting out the back of a TSA135.

Long shot is that the Bowden cables x4 that run from the machine to the tractor levers are damaged (ends pulled off) and parts of the levers are broken (mainly plastic inserts). Seems to be made by BREVET, a little known French company. Genuine parts which is a complete replacement of 4 spool levers, bowden cables right down to spool block on machine is £1300.

I am just wondering if there is a cheaper way out of this. There is no nationwide man and van service for exapmple a bit like the hydraulic hose doctor ? I think workiing out what bits I need and being able to locate to repair will be problematic

At some point i need to send them a gear selector cable off our combine, wouldnt hurt to have a few spares for the future, last genuine MF one i priced up was nearly 400 notes, for a simple 5ft long cable with threads either end!!!!

Im sure they can do them for a quarter of that!!!

are cable tec nationwide?
Ime sure thats the name of the company i used in Ellesmere port. As said before, very good.
The first time i used them, I posted the broken part to them, and they would post back. As i was passing, i collected same day.
cost £60 per cable for a prehistorice hedgecutter (Fisher Humphries)
