I will be happy to be weaned off farmer dole tbh and i will not be signing up to any new ones. Take abit of power back and be able to tell most agencies to sod off.
I am in a way, 3 brothers i know farm a fair chunk on lets, all grassland, have some cracking cattle and sheep. And a milk round.
Work a couple of days in the mart, they dont claim a penny, never have.
Theyre sucessfull happy lads who make their own way without defras gloved hand on their shoulders.

I'm not rich. I just had the right conversations earlier in the season. Cashflow management is pretty much the most important part of a business. We're all told businesses fail more due to cashflow than profit. And my bank was ringing customers months ago about requirements.
You must be rich if the bank manager bothered to phone you

They work hard and play even harder the 2 young ones especially
