no there's nothing , just oo's on the efa part of the claim, funny thing is i must've spoken to the rpa helpline for 20 mins or so but he didnt flag that up to me, as being incorrect. im sure he looked at my claim form as well.
he also d id say there's nothing i can do about this year. i should phone them again i think.
but i don't really want to delay it.
It is classed as arable, but I was under the impression that if 75% of your holding consists of:
Permanent grassland,
temporary grassland (classed as arable)
Leguminous crops

Or a combination of the above, then the farm is then exempt from greening requirements?

thanks ,
yes it works out at just over 75% - thats tg01 and pg anyway,
but on the efa bit on my claim report it says that the greening rule/part has not been met and says the amount of area that its out by, which is what i don't understand,
i guess ill have to wait and see if the full payment comes or if some penalty is taken, in which case i can them get back to them and ask why.

If a BPS claimant has more than 75% eligible agricultural land in permanent or temporary grassland or more than 75% of the arable land is fallow or temporary grassland, the “greening” exemption (for EFA and crop diversification) only applied if the rest of the arable area wasn’t more than 30ha. That 30ha limitation was removed in 2018.

Wish understood the greening rules, I dont understand why such a small farm area with such diversity doesnt comply correctly.
Why do they have fine s and what happens to that money , after all it's not theirs :scratchhead:

It’s my understanding that the cash is drawn down in full, but only a proportion of the fines is repaid. The rest goes to pay the costs of administrating the scheme. So it could be said that it is self financing.
Stand corrected if I’m wrong.

Ours just says " Created " o_O. Maybe " Created " should be added to the poll options ?

With no Submit Date....even though I can view what I sent so they do have it and gave it an application number :cautious:

Hmmmm, I wonder what that means 'coz the submission dates and times show for the previous 4 years.
Have you looked in your "messages" file to see if there's a confirmation of the claim being submitted. Might be as well to give them a call to confirm.

yes, the temporary grass is classed as arable it seems thats whats caught me out i think, i dont knowwhat they mean about the hedges either, theres plenty off them, but were not on els any longer so im not sure what thats all about,
the claim details seems to say things arent complied with mores a pity

No i'm not an NFU member.
Computer column totals error it seems.
The claim is exempt from greening rules, as i expected and as per
the 2019 guide book (y)
Exemptions - who doesn't need to follow the crop diversification rule? Farmers with less than 10 hectares of arable land do not need to do anything differently – they meet the crop diversification rule automatically. Farmers with 10 or more hectares of arable land don’t need to follow the crop diversification rule if any of the exemptions below apply to them. Crop diversification exemption
1 The crop diversification rule doesn’t apply if more than 75% of the eligible agricultural land on the holding is:
• permanent grassland
• temporary grassland
• used for the cultivation of crops grown in water (such as watercress) for 6 months or more in a calendar year
• a combination of the above

Exemptions – who doesn’t need to follow the EFA rule? Farmers with 15 hectares or less of arable land don’t need to do anything differently – they meet the rule automatically. Farmers with more than 15 hectares of arable land don’t need to declare EFAs if either of the exemptions below apply to them. EFA exemption 1 Farmers don’t have to declare EFAs if more than 75% of the eligible agricultural land on the holding is:
• permanent grassland
• temporary grassland
• used for the cultivation of crops grown in water (such as watercress) for 6 months or more in a calendar year
• a combination of the above

happy days..:)

Thankyou.

Yes.

TBF Those RPA staff (with their N.E. accents :) ) do a pretty good job trying to explain something quite complex over the phone to yet another farmer..

They don't seem that busy either, atm. if anyone needs to call them.

Is anyone else having the message that their internet browser is out of date? It was working last week, but can't log on now.

I did, I was using google on my phone and it said it was too old so I just logged in with google chrome which is also on my phone...
I think the army of nobodies that do nothing all day long for the government have to think up something pointless to do from time to time to justify their existence!

Looked at mine last week and the claim was encrypted and completely unreadable. logged on the next day and It was back as normal and said "preparing for payment". I presume they where looking at it the same time as me and only one person can be on the claim at the same time. :)
